Connecting Woolston survey - next steps

Just over three weeks into the Connecting Woolston survey, we’re now already at the halfway mark! So far, we have a staggering 1,811 contributions, including 578 comments and 1,233 agreements. If you haven’t already, don’t forget to check out the other comments people have been making and, if you agree, let us know by clicking the thumbs up button.

As we enter the last three weeks of the survey, we thought this was a good time to give you an update about what you can expect from the next stage of the project. Once the survey closes on Sunday 29 August, we’ll quickly get to work analysing all of your feedback and pulling out the key areas and concerns you have highlighted to us. This will allow us to focus our attention on the most important issues and locations which the majority of people would like to see addressed.

We will then invite you to a series of co-design workshops, where we will look more closely at those specific issues and work together to identify potential solutions to them. Co-design is all about working collaboratively with local residents and businesses to make sure that any changes in their neighbourhood are led by the very community that lives, works and travels there.

We’ll be holding the workshops in October, so please keep an eye out for future updates from us and make sure you sign up when we announce the confirmed dates for these.

Early next year, we’ll start to draw up detailed designs for your area based on the ideas discussed at these co-design workshops. We’ll then consult on these proposals with you before starting to implement the changes in your area towards the end of 2022.

More information about the project and the timelines we’re expecting to work to is available on our website .

In the meantime, keep spreading the word about the survey with your friends, family and colleagues local to the area.
